Could it be....ESP??

I decided to blog about this story because I don't want to forget it. Last weekend was my birthday (woohoo!) and I was lucky enough to have my sisters here with me. Janna and Juje flew in Friday night and on Saturday we all (Katie, Janna, Juje, Matilda and I) went to Denver to stay overnight. Since Matilda is a breastfed baby, she is my permanent sidekick. On Sat. night, we ended up going back to our hotel before dinner because Matilda was tired and cranky. We decided to order pizza and watch an in-room movie. Our pizza was supposed to take 45 min-1 hour. After 1 hour, we called the place and they said the guy had already come and we weren't in the room. He even said the front desk tried to call us. Well, we had all been in the room and nobody knocked or called. So they said the guy would come again. 30 minutes later we still had no pizza. Finally they realized there were 2 Hyatt hotels in downtown Denver. And the hotels are only a few blocks apart. The delivery guy had gone to the wrong hotel 2 times and it was a huge fiasco. I never spoke of this story to anyone because it never came up in conversation.

So the reason I tell you this snippet is because of a dream Oliver told me about. Yesterday he came down after his nap and said he was sad. I asked why and he said it was because he wasn't with us on our girls weekend and he missed Matilda. I thought "Awwww, that is cute!". Then he started talking more: "I was sad because the girls went to the room because Matilda was tired so you were getting pizza. But then the pizza man got lost and took a long time so you had to give him directions." I was in shock. I hadn't even told him we got pizza, let alone that the delivery guy got lost!! So I asked more questions. Oliver said "The guy went up the elevator and walked around but you weren't there. So he went somewhere else."

Isn't this story weird/cool/creepy? Seriously!! We never talked about going back to the room, getting pizza or the fiasco involved!!!

This reminds me of the time we lived in NJ and Oliver told me there was a ghost who was a boy who lived in our house. He used to talk to the ghost all the time. I was freaked out because I didn't even know how he knew the word ghost. He was only 2 1/2 at the time. Maybe my kid has ESP and I can cash in. Now I just need to train him to read the future and I will be RICH!!

Now back to my birthday...... We had a blast!!! It has been such a long time since all the girls were together. We stayed up so late talking and laughing. It was my best birthday ever!

Our Valentine's Party

We decided to have a Valentine's Day party today because we wanted to include Jackson, and he is only here M-W. So we invited Alana and Diego over for our fun celebration. The kids made invitations about 2 weeks ago and have been counting down the days. We made heart cookies and decorated them, and the kids made valentines. Of all the kids, Elliott was the only one who ended up with frosting all over his face, hair, shirt, and pants. It was hilarious.

Houston...we have a tooth!

Elliott got a new front tooth yesterday. After 10 months with only 1 front tooth, we decided to get him a pediatric partial aka "pedo partial". I thought we'd get used to his impish grin, and we mostly were, but I missed my cute Elliott's smile.
Here he is going into the dentist:
And here he is sporting his fancy new tooth!

This is what the implant looks like. I thought he would freak out with the wire and bracket around his molars, but he hasn't said anything. We don't know how long it will actually last, but we'll see!!

We registered Oliver for Kindergarten the other day. He was so excited to go and see his big boy school and meet the different teachers. We won't know who his teacher is or whether he'll be in the AM or PM class until August. He is definitely ready and excited to be growing up. Oliver is truly an amazing kid. He can be so sensitive and sweet at times. Last night he got this really sad look on his face so I asked him what was wrong. Then he started crying as he talked. He said "I want another baby in our family." I was shocked and said, "But honey, we have a baby. Matilda is our baby!" He responded, "I know, but she is growing up too fast and learning things. I'm too sad about that. I don't want her to grow up, so we need another baby." The whole time he was talking, he almost started sobbing. I've never seen anything like it. It got me all teary eyed because although it is fun watching MJ develop, it is definitely sad at times because she is our last child. I really had to calm him down and tell him how Matilda will always be the baby of our family, even when she is 25. Then he wanted to pray to Heavenly Father and thank him for Matilda. He got in bed and said the sweetest prayer. He had truly been thinking deeply about all of this. Ollie definitely adores his sister!!

Speaking of MJ, it is spring/summer shopping season already. Here are a few pictures I took as I tried on her new loot.

Here she is showing off her cute chubby legs!!

Look at me stand!!

The Rock Stars

We have a karaoke machine that I rarely get out anymore. Mostly because the kids grab the microphone and want to take turns yelling and screaming into it with glee. Ours comes equipped with a voice changer that makes you sound like a monster or a chipmunk. Last time I got it out, I realized there was a song the kids knew. The theme song to "Ghostbusters". Oliver knew almost every single word and was very intent on his performing. I'm starting to see a trend here... LOL. Notice the 2 cute back-up singers. Alana and Diego and their makeshift microphones!

In other boy fashion, Oliver and Elliott recently discovered that they can pee at the same time. Now everytime one of them has to go, they call the other one to come and pee too. I just stand there and laugh because if I was a little boy, I'd probably want to do it too.

Ollie loves his sister

I am always so touched by the attention Oliver gives to Matilda. He truly adores her. Today he kept singing the song "No One Like You" to her. It was so sweet so I video taped it.
